Ushaka Marine World

1. USHAKA + GOLDEN MILE TOUR

Drive along Durban’s famous beaches, Visit Ushaka Marine World (5th biggest aquarium in the world), take a walk on Durban’s beautiful Golden Mile beaches, dip your toes in the warm Indian ocean, Visit local Gift/Curios Shops, Visit the beautiful point waterfront development/canal  – optional gondola ride, bicycle or segway hire.

Finishing the day off with drinks at On Point Cost: Cash Bar

2. HIKING (MOUNTAIN OR BEACH) & SIGHTSEEING

Explore some of Kzn’s most beautiful hiking spots (mountains or secret beaches -you tell us what you want to do and we will make it happen! (fitness level dependant)

 3. Umhlanga Beach Day

Visit the worlds most beautiful pier (Whale Bone Pier), also the famous Umhlanga lighthouse. Take a walk on the beautiful Umhlanga promenade, have coffee and snacks at the secret coffee shop in the forest, swim, tan, snorkel, fish or have cocktails on the beach.

4.  TALA GAME RESERVE

Day trip to one of Kzn’s best kept secret: Tale Private Game reserve!

Exlpore wildlife from a real game viewing vehicle, ride a mountain bike OR Segway in a game reserve (numbers are limited to 6 per group)!

Tala allows you to get closer to nature, to really interact with the environment and animals and to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the African bush. Tala is a wildlife sanctuary spanning over 3000 hectares and incorporating many diverse natural environments, the reserve features over 380 bird species, with big game that includes Rhino, kudu, hippo, giraffe and eland.

Several distinctive and remarkable plant species are also to be found on Tala. The fiery aloe in full bloom, the imposing euphoria and the smell of the fragrant wild sage on a dewy morning make every stay at the reserve unique and memorable.

5.  shark diving in a cage in the open ocean

Day trip to one of the best shark diving spots around the world followed by a visit to our famous croc world where you can meet of the worlds oldest crocodile!

The Shark Cage Diving experience as a vital way to connect non-divers with sharks in the wild and to educate people about sharks and that they are not ‘man-eaters’ but intelligent and beautiful animals.

Should you also feel comfortable with the sharks and the dive master agrees then you will have the opportunity to swim outside the cage with the sharks.

6.  PHEZULU CULTURAL VILLAGE + REPLITE WORLD + LION PARK

Discover the incredible heritage of South Africa’s Zulu people with a visit to Phezulu Cultural Village and Reptile Park. Depart Durban for KwaZulu-Natal’s stunning Valley of 1000 Hills, where many Zulu people still reside. The park itself is known for its traditional beehive-shaped huts and hands-on experiences like Zulu spear making. Witness a colorful Zulu dance performance, then embark on an informative tour of the park’s reptile portion where you’ll learn first-hand about resident crocodiles and snakes, including the notorious green mamba. Day trip to Phezulu Cultural Village and Reptile Park from Durban Enjoy an immersive Zulu cultural experience and meet a sangoma, or traditional healer Visit with Ramesis, a 90-year-old Nile crocodile and see other exotic reptiles, birds,etc.

Lion Park:

The Natal Lion Park is home to Lions, African and Asian Elephants as well as Zebra and Nyala. There we get up close to the King of the beasts – enter the Lion’s enclosure to marvel at the pride of Lions as you keep the windows and doors of your vehicle tightly closed. This activity is very popular as it gives tourists a rare opportunity to enjoy the excitement of being so close to lions. Tourists are amazed at their size and beauty. Also on view is a variety of bird species. We proceed to see the elephants – allow the elephants to touch you with their tasks.

7.  DURBAN BAY CRUISE AND RICKSHAW BUS TOUR

The place to see Durban Harbour, the busiest port in Africa, in action. You’ll get a glimpse of luxury yachts, racing boats, hulking tankers, trawlers and tiny optimist sailing boats as they go by. At Wilson’s Wharf there are many restaurants and fast-food spots to choose from and the flickering lights on the water at night are particularly atmospheric.
